Some souls are fashioned for the fire,
Not because Heaven loves them less;
but because the brightest, strongest light
is often born from deep distress.
—
Some hearts are carved by winter winds,
where bitter nights refuse to end;
yet every storm that bent their limbs
prepared them how another’s bend.
—
They learned to smile through silent tears,
to cradle hope with trembling hands;
they crossed the deserts of their fears
before they reached more fertile lands.
—
The mountains taught them how to climb.
and valleys taught them how to pray;
The darkness whispered, “You won’t last.”
The dawn replied, “You’ll find the way.”
—
They gathered wisdom, not from books,
but from the weight they chose to bear;
from empty rooms and broken dreams,
from whispered prayers breathed into air.
—
The scars they carry are not shame,
they are a map with every line;
Each wound became a lantern’s flame,
each loss a purpose by design.
—
So when another soul grows weak,
and faith begins to lose its voice;
they do not speak of borrowed truth,
they speak because they’ve made that choice.
—
“I know this road.
I’ve walked this night.
I’ve felt the cold you cannot name.
Take hold of hope.
Walk close to me.
The morning always comes the same.”
—
Perhaps they wondered all those years
why hardship never passed them by;
why every answer seemed delayed,
why every blessing learned to fly.
—
But seeds are buried long before,
their leaves awaken to the sun;
The hidden work beneath the soil
must first be faithfully begun.
—
Perhaps the pain was not the end,
but Heaven’s patient, quiet art;
for rocks are shaped by endless waves,
and mercy grows in weathered hearts.
—
So some are born to carry peace,
through places torn apart by fear;
Their strength is not they never broke,
it’s that they chose to persevere.
—
They stand where broken people stand,
with gentle hands and steady grace,
and shine a light that softly says,
“I’ve seen this darkness.
Leave no trace.
—
Come walk with me.
I’ve found the path.”
Though every step was dearly won,
I’ll hold the lamp until you see
the rising of another sun.
—
For there are souls God shapes with fire,
whose greatest gift is not their own.
They bear the weight so others heal,
and turn hard roads to stepping stones.
—
They are the shelter in the storm,
the calm when every wave has rolled;
for those who once survived the night
are the ones given the lamps to hold.
